MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of East Orange School District‘s Library Media Program is to provide resources to support and ensure excellence in teaching and learning so that students and staff will become effective users of information and ideas which will lead to a pattern of a love of reading and lifelong learning.

The library media specialists will promote teacher collaboration, collection development and student instruction to support the curriculum, teach information literacy attributes and promote an appreciation of literature.

VISION STATEMENT

The East Orange Library Media Program will promote literacy and a community of learning that will result in high academic achievement, independent reading and collaboration between teacher and library media specialist throughout the K-12 school district
